Summit Point, West Virginia 2005

Back straight at Summit Point Shenandoah circuit. Cooling it in  the pits between runs.
Main building and surrounding area at the new circuit. As usual the SVT trailer and Ford GT were on hand. The Ford GT has generated several thousands of dollars for local charities that the chapters support through contributions to those charities for rides in the GT.
For those of you that are familiar with the Nuremburg formula I race track in Europe, that sliver of concrete in the distance is the top edge of a Nuremburg style steeply banked 270 degree turn that is more like an amusement ride than a corner on a race course. Two unfortunate drivers didn't completely navigate the turn and had abrupt and painful contact with the concrete retaining wall. The dog leg right "straight" under the access road bridge to the circuit. Once under the bridge, it's a fast down hill ride to the entrance to the Nuremburg turn. Better have good brakes.
My friend Joe Kurtz with Andy and I at the track entrance.
